All My Life – the movie
The new romantic drama All My Life is based on the real-life story of Jennifer Carter (Jessica Rothe) and Solomon Chandler (Harry Shum Jr.), a young couple from Booneville, Mississippi. The movie follows their relationship from its beginning in 2002, through their engagement and Solomon’s diagnosis with liver cancer in 2006.
Although the movie is fictionalized, it is inspired by true events, and the ending is similarly based on reality. In the film, after learning that Solomon only has a few months to live, Jennifer Carter decides to plan their dream wedding in just two weeks. With the help of her friends and family, she pulls it off, and the couple exchange heartfelt vows on August 4, 2006.
Sadly, Solomon Chandler passed away less than three months after his wedding to Jennifer Carter. However, their story has lived on through the movie All My Life, which was released in December 2020.

In the last minutes of the movie, after trying everything to find a donor match for Sol and exhausting all other options, Rachel takes matters into her own hands and decides to donate part of her liver to him. The surgery is a success andSol wakes up from the operation healthy and cancer-free. The two spend their remaining time together rejoicing in their love for each other and their new lease on life.
